Jeff Lava & Paulina Rubio Rockin the Globe!

The Jands Vista consol traveled across Central
and South America throughout March this year, with Jeff Lava, LD for Latina superstar, Paulina Rubio.

The console’s performance was flawless – “the cloning feature of the Jands Vista was superb,” says Jeff. “I walked into a venue, got their patch list and within twenty minutes I’d have my show converted with their lights.”

Jeff continues, “It’s not always easy to do this on a US tour, but in Central America in countries like El Salvador and Columbia, where language can be a barrier and where often, we had to wait until the last hour to set up the show due to transportation issues, it was great to know I could always rely on the Vista.”

“Tech support from Vista was amazing. When we were in Medellin, Colombia, the lights at the venue were cheap replicas of moving lights that didn’t have profiles. After emailing Fred Mikeska and the Vista support crew, I had the profiles re-written and emailed to me, and the show was quickly up and running .”

Several companies and individuals collaborated to make this tour a success, including:

Barry (Baz) Halpin was the designer for the Love, Light and Sound Paulina Rubio tour, while Jeff Lava directed and programmed the lighting for the world tour.

Steve Nance from Integrity Productions was the supplier for the Vista console.

Richard Willis at Bandit Lites was the USA production provider for the tour. Jeff programmed the tour in the MSD (Martin Show Designer) suite at Bandit’s HQ in Nashville, TN
